Shaken
Though literally shaken today*, this was not the reason for my absence from the virtual world. We have been shaken over here by the somehow expected but nonetheless very painful loss of a family member. Time is spend mourning and being able to spend comfort takes a lot of my energy.
However, to sink in petrified grief will not do justice to the lively, amiable, energetic and always optimistic person we miss now. Therefore, I will be back tomorrow with a cheer- and colourful post.
I am looking forward to taking on my blog roll again, see you all...
*We experienced a little earthquake this afternoon. Luckily, with the epicentre being more than 15 km away and not very high on Richtersscale (4,6), it had the same impact as if an excavator would bump into the garden's wall (which happened not so long ago).

(i was a little intrigued to read about an elevator bumping into your garden wall... ever so slightly disappointed when i reread the sentence!)
Carola, my condolences on your loss.
I remember you commented on my sheepskin rug. Now it's finished, if you want to come back and have a peek at it...
Thanks for commenting :)
There is a lady who has done some research on old skin printing stamps, and she found out that the rugs traditionally had to have symbols from five different categories: sun, water, animals, plants and some eternity symbol (like a hart or something). Our family travels to medieval and viking camps and fairs, and I picked symbols that could have been used 1000 years ago. I don't have enything from the plant category, the rest is there. The birds could be Odin's ravens, hugin and munin, and the horses could be Rimfakse and Gullfakse, two horses in norse mythology.
Super!
