Fishy cables

It is still Socktober and time to welcome and celebrate another pair of socks!

Rib and Cable Socks in Fish

Pattern: Rib and Cable Socks by Nancy Bush in InterweaveKnits Fall 2005
Yarn: Opal Rainforest Collection, colour 'Fish' or 'Doktorfisch'
Needles: 2,5 mm dpn bamboo

Another Rib and Cable pair - this pattern rocks! There's not much to add to what I have already said here. The tedious knot in the skein that reversed the colour repeat isn't obvious at all. Did you spot it?
My appologies for showing the socks like this! Worn, saggy, dirty. It is not that easy at the moment to bring the following neccessary factors together: time, camera, brightness and clean, blocked socks.

If this is not enough fish for you and you want more then tune in at BBC worldservice and listen to One Planet: Marine Protected areas. You will learn something about the oh so sustainable fishing industry and that there is PLENTY of fish in the waters around Iceland. (~20 min. But the interview with the Icelander and his funny accent is in the beginning)

Cool socks! I love that colorway. I've been thinking about trying that pattern--your recommendation is helpful! :)

BTW, also loved your last post. Amazing pictures!
