jinxed?
Me and the rpm sock ain't gonna be friends... hm hmm hmm hm hm hhmmmm
I totally messed up the counting - hey, it's not that difficul: 9 st pattern repeat, knit and purl. How very smart of me not to touch my Icarus shawl at the moment!
However, I felt too lazy to rip back the whole sock and only dropped a "few" stitches.
Suddenly, I realised that it was time to run (hobble) for the appointment at the doctor's. (What a butcher this time. Teared off my bandages with pure force. Idiot!) Coming home, I felt slightly uneasy about the fact that Willy and the vulnerable sock, hastily dropped onto a table before sudden departure, were all alone at home. However, I can not say that it was fortunate that he did not care for the sock in my 30 minutes absence. See why. Better yet, don't click if you are sensitive to bloody crime scenes. Because, Willy proudly presents his first contribution to the family's menu: starling tartare on ÖDUM (IKEA rug)
(oops...reminds me that I still have to think about my contribution to the fabulous knit & dish swap over at Amanda's...)
Call it a bad day, yeah?
No, not yet. Having picked up all the stitches, counted them about a zillion times and getting started to finally make some progress in this beloved grrrrrrpm sock, THIS is what happens!

OH WILLY!
Poor Carola -- what a sight to come home to!
I think you should definitely buy a lotto ticked. Your good luck is overdue!
Oh, Willy. That is gross. On the plus side, he must have been so proud!
And as for the needle....well, at least you have pretty yarn...
I hope the foot is doing better.
I am so glad my cat isn´t that generous with his birds. He keeps them to himself outside. The benefit of a selfish cat. (I had another cat that brought a pigeon in and put it into my laundry basket).
Uhm, maybe just a little bit, just in case the tide has yet to turn. Never the less, that is some gorgeous sock yarn!
passing by , and saw you do some wonderful knitting..Oh my gosh , i don't want to be in your shoes when the needle broke in the middle..i know that those kind of needles are sooooooo expensive...hard luck...
Oh no, what a day, I hope your foot and your sock are better soon!
I'm sorry you're having a bit of a bad time. Hoping things get better for you soon!
Oh, sorry about the ankle. I hope it's healing quickly.
That broken needle story happened twice to me, this week (in 7 years knitting no broken things, and now in ONE week?). Groeten uit Holland.
Speaking of naughty animals. I left about 2 skeins of yarn wrapped around my warping frame, ready to be placed on my loom at my parent's house. Mom called me about a week later and asked "Who do you love more, your yarn or the puppy (Leif)?" Grrrr, Mom came downstairs to find him romping around the basement with my yarn, having the time of his life.
Oh, I am so sorry about the needle! And your poor foot. And the rug. That's a lot of bad luck in a very short interval. :-( Hope things are back to normal soon!
