Self-discipline?

BooksHow cool is that.. I've been waiting for an amazon order for literally weeks. Finally arriving, it not only contains real books but also some books for to dwell on knitting and felting. [sigh - after all this time I had forgotten about them] But - I am definitely forbidden to touch them for the next 16 days!
Debbie Bliss: Quick Baby Knits (don't draw the wrong conclusions, this is for the growing number of my friend's babies)
Margaret Docherty, Jayne Emerson: Simply Felt: 20 Easy and Elegant Designs in Wool

The Lopi Sock is growing, actually number one is done. Pictures later. Thank you all so much for your nice comments!
To avoid misunderstandings and in order to calm down any wool sensitive people who are dreading now to be my sockpal.. The name 'Lopi' refers to the pattern - not to the wool! I know that the typical (scratchy) Icelandic wool is called Lopi, but so are the sweaters (Lopi peysa). Being sensitive to this kind of rough wool myself (though it is perferct for felting) I wouldn't have dreamt of using it for socks! My choice is Lanett yarn from Norway. (click on 'yarn' on left navigation bar and choose the first circle link). The colours are 'spring', 'spruce' and 'ivory'.
I just felt like I had to make this clear ;-)
Apropos 'misunderstanding':

"Is it so bad to be misunderstood? Pythagoras was misunderstood, and Socrates, and Jesus, and Luther, and Copernicus, and Galilio, and Newton, and every pure and wise spirit that ever took flesh. To be great is to be misunderstood."
Ralph Waldo Emerson: Self-Reliance
For the title: you can see that I am breaking my self-discipline. I am blogging instead of reading, but at least I am harassing letting you benefit from what I learned.
